This exciting two-day itinerary for the Alpaca Craft Workshop in Ausangate offers participants a unique experience. The first day starts early in Cusco, with hotel pickups at 4:30 a. m., followed by a three-hour journey to the community of Pacchanta. After enjoying a delightful breakfast, participants will immerse themselves in the Ausangate craft workshop, exploring the quality of alpaca fiber and learning spinning and dyeing techniques. Following a delicious lunch, the afternoon includes the practice of thread warping and relaxing time at the Pacchanta Hot Springs, followed by indigenous music and dances in the evening. The second day begins at 6:00 a. m. with the process of weaving artisanal garments, followed by the preparation of Pachamanca for lunch, sharing this culinary experience with the artisans. After a break, memories will be captured with photographs before bidding farewell and returning to Cusco around 5:00 p. m.
To kick off this exciting journey, we will pick up participants from their hotels in Cusco at 4:30 a.m. and head towards the community of Pacchanta in approximately a three-hour journey. Upon arrival, we will indulge in a delicious breakfast prepared by our talented chefs at the restaurant.
After the first meal of the day, we will meet with the skilled artisans of the Pacchanta community, who will accompany us during the two days of the workshop. Alongside our guide, we will proceed to the Ausangate craft workshop. We will start by recognizing the quality of alpaca fiber and exploring natural colors. We will initiate the spinning and dyeing process using herbs and roots to achieve elegant hues.
Following a delightful lunch, we will delve into learning the process of thread warping, crucial in the creation of shawls, blankets, and ponchos. At 3:30 p.m., we will unwind in the Pacchanta Hot Springs. In the evening, we will enjoy indigenous music and dances from Ausangate.
We will begin our day by waking up at 6:00 a.m. and savoring a delicious breakfast at 6:30 a.m. in our cozy lodge. This day will commence with the fascinating process of weaving artisanal garments and ponchos, paying special attention to this crucial step as it represents the final stage of garment creation.
For lunch, we will participate in the preparation of a Pachamanca, sharing this culinary experience with all the artisans who have accompanied us throughout the workshop. After a well-deserved break, we will capture special moments with photographs as a memento before bidding farewell to this enriching experience. We will return to Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
Reservations are made in advance with a 30% payment of the total cost. The remaining balance is paid in cash in Cusco during the informational briefing.

Tour rescheduling is allowed with proper notice, except for Machu Picchu tours. Passenger no-shows will result in the total loss of the service. Cancellation or withdrawal from the service will not be eligible for a refund.
