Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in private transport, traveling along the Cusco-Puno Highway, passing through traditional Andean villages. After two hours, we arrive at Cusipata, where you will enjoy a buffet breakfast prepared with fresh local ingredients.
From Cusipata, we continue by vehicle to the community of Chillihuani, the starting point of our hike. The ascent to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, reaching an altitude of 5,034 meters (16,516 feet). From the summit, you’ll witness the stunning multicolored layers of minerals, creating one of the most photogenic landscapes in the world. You will also enjoy panoramic views of Nevado Ausangate, the highest mountain in Cusco and considered sacred in Andean traditions.
