This lagoon is known for the intense turquoise color of its waters, located in the majestic Ausangate region, in the heart of the Andes. Unlike other tourist destinations, Singrenacocha offers a quiet and uncrowded environment, perfect for travelers looking for unique landscapes far from the crowds.
During the tour, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Andes, walk along trails surrounded by mountains and glaciers, and admire this spectacular body of water that reflects the greatness of the surrounding peaks. The Singrenacocha Lagoon Full-Day Tour is an excellent option to explore the lesser-known corners of Cusco, enjoy adventure, and discover an ideal destination for photography and nature lovers.
We begin our Singrenacocha Lagoon Tour early in the morning. At 4:30 AM, we pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco and start the trip in private transportation toward the village of Yanacancha, located in the province of Quispicanchi. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, and along the way you will enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes and observe local wildlife such as alpacas and llamas grazing freely in the area.
Once we arrive at the starting point of the hike, at 4,300 meters (14,108 ft), we will enjoy a box breakfast to regain energy. Then we begin a short walk of about 10 minutes to reach the main viewpoint, where you’ll have one of the best panoramic views of Singrenacocha Lagoon, famous for its turquoise waters and mountain scenery.
After enjoying the viewpoint and taking photos, we descend to the shores of the lagoon, where you can explore the area and visit the trout farming zones typical of high-Andean communities. We will stay for about 30 minutes so you can walk around and experience this truly unique natural setting.
Once the visit is complete, we return to the vehicle and head to the town of Pampacancha, where you will have the chance to relax in the hot springs and enjoy a well-deserved local lunch. Finally, we begin our return trip to Cusco, arriving in the city at approximately 6:00 PM.
