The impressive Inca fortress of Waqrapukara, located in the Cusco region, is one of those hidden treasures of the Andean world. Its name, which means “horn-shaped fortress” in Quechua, is inspired by the dramatic rock formations on which it stands. This archaeological site, considered an important political and ceremonial center during the Inca period, is surrounded by cliffs, deep canyons, and breathtaking mountain landscapes that invite you to connect with Andean history, nature, and spirituality.

You will then have free time to explore the site at your own pace, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding canyons, and take stunning photos. Afterward, we enjoy a box lunch in front of the iconic rock formations.
Finally, we return along the same trail back to Punta Carretera, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. We arrive in the city at approximately 6:00 PM, ending an unforgettable cultural and natural experience in the Peruvian Andes.
